EARLY CHILDS TRANSFERWARE MUG

This is outstanding child's transferware mug is circa 1840. This diminutive piece stands 2 7/8" tall x 2 3/4" wide with an applied loop handle.  The mug is light weight and beautifully potted with a blue ponding of a pearlware glaze.

It is transfer printed in dark brown with a horizontal swath with the name Ellen surrounded by a plethora of colored flowers and vines.

The condition of this exceptional mug is great.  Nicely potted and the transfers were applied with a good deal of attention to detail.
