Gourmet Pudding Boiler

A late Victorian pudding cooker, “The Gourmet Boiler No.8”. A quirky kitchen contraption circa 1890.
Heavy stoneware for making pudding consisting of a baked or steamed, breadcrumb-thickened mixture, spread with jam and finally topped with meringue.
Measures 7 1/8 inches in diameter x 6 inches tall. Original cover and twisted wire handle. Good condition with a few nibble chips along the rim. Great decorative item for cottage, country or primitive decor or immediate use.
