Stunning Patterned Brown Transferware Hand Painted Plate
Royal Doulton ~ Staffordshire, England ~ c. 1890
This fabulous plate is from the Aesthetic Movement Era. The very large plate measures 10 1/4 inches in diameter. The plate is decorated in an Art Deco pattern with a naturalistic inspiration, a kaleidoscopic design of stylized sunflowers and feathers. The decoration is bright and clear and coveted by collectors. The pieces were made by Doulton Potteries in the Staffordshire region of England.
Never Used. The plates are in EXCELLENT condition, bright shiny and clean. No chips, hairlines, cracks or repairs. Early pieces in this wonderful pattern don't come along often, and the contrast and composition is especially beautiful color.
