STONEWARE DOULTON'S IMPROVED
Lambeth Pottery ~ London, England c. 1881
This large Victorian stoneware vessel is a hot water foot warmer. Normally put in the bed sheets to help curb the chill of cold toes or used under blankets during a carriage ride. Measuring 10 inches long x 4 1/2 inches wide x 4 1/2 inches tall. The warmer is transfer printed in black over the earthenware body.
In great condition with the stopper and rubber gasket still working without a leak. Hard to find these without any damage.
