VERY EARLY CHILDS TIN ABC RATTLE

This fabulous very old tin rattle and whistle is superb. During the mid 1800's these were a common rattle and whistle toy. 5 1/2 inches long.
The rattle is embellished with whimsical designs around the barrel drum. The rattle still rings well with the original seeds or pellets inside. A remarkable piece of American history !
This example has survived in very good condition with no bending.
