These large late Victorian 10 1/4 inch plates are transfer printed in brown against an off white background showing good detail and good contrast. Beautifully painted under the glaze by master artists in a plethora of colors.
The plates are from the Early English 12 Months Series was designed by Helen J. A. Miles, an artist extraordinaire at the Wedgwood factories.
The borders are in the Florentine pattern.
10 are in never used condition with 2 having light utensil marks. A tint rim flake to one. Rare to find a whole matched set.
