AESTHETIC TRANSFERWARE TEA POT STAND
BALTIMORE PATTERN
Old Hall Potteries, formely Charles Meigh and Sons
Hanley, Staffordshire England c. 1880
This Victorian aesthetic 6 1/2 " tea pot stand is transfer printed in lovely dark orange or brick red, a rarely seen color. The clear and crisp BALTIMORE pattern features exotic thorny branches of quince flowers cascading into the well where two exquisite cartouches are displayed. One of a bridge over a river at sunrise with birds in flight overhead, a Christopher Dresser influence. The other of a three masted sailing vessel with an outrageous sky in the background and waves cresting in the foreground. The pattern displays the Victorian eras love of nature and travel to exotic lands.
Condition is great, clean shiny and bright and displays beautifully. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs.
