This striking plate measures 10 1/4 " in diameter with a lightly scalloped rim and pearlware glaze. It is crisply transfer printed in dark black.
An exquisite border pattern of alternating wild flower bouquets surround the well of the plate featuring a scene of two young women in an exquisite garden with a magnificent Italian Villa background.
The plate was made by Ralph Hall, c. 1830. The pattern is part of the Italian series, and the name of the pattern and view is contained inside a transfer printed cartouche on the underside, along with the maker's name.
Condition is great and never used.
