This Victorian 4 3/8” wide x 2 " tall covered ceramic earthenware container was made during Victorian times and contained a delicious Potted Tongue paste. During Victorian and Edwardian times, these pots allowed people to keep these staple food pastes without spoiling. Mmmm, potted tongue meat on toast !
The pieces are in good condition. A small chip to the front of the lid and a few nibbles along to flanges, where the two pieces meet.
