This Victorian 9 3/4 inch plate is transfer printed in black against a white background. The mother bird and her chicks and artistically hand painted. A rare pattern design by Pierre Mallet and Leonce Goutard, the famous and prolific French designers and illustrators who produced naturalistic designs for Minton. A rare marked example from these artists.
Good condition except for a strange deep chip near the front rim. Fabulous artistic hand painting.
