This large early Victorian 10 1/4" dinner plate is transfer printed in black. The printed transfer features a scalloped edge with wreath of flowers surrounding a plate of Passion flowers and Dahlia flowers and a scene of an elaborate mosque or building in a pastoral scene.
The piece is marked with the pattern name and "Jackson's Warranted", indicating the maker John and Job Jackson, a pottery manufactory in the Staffordshire region of England, in existence only from 1831-1835 . The pattern is illustrated in Petra Williams' Staffordshire Romantic Transfer Patterns III.
Never Used. The piece is in great condition.
