This early Victorian large 10 3/8 inch plate is overglaze transfer printed using a new patented process using wax and copper. A Hummingbird flies over the landscape.
The painter was Edward Kennard and made for the London retailer John Mortlock. Exhibited at the Philadelphia Centennial Exhibition 1876.
Never Used and in Great condition. There is some paint loss to the grasses.
