This Victorian era 9 " wide plate is transfer printed in dark blue.

This earthenware plate depicts flying cranes, the Japanese symbol for longevity, with stylized ocean waves. Dresser clearly looked to Japanese sources for inspiration and artistic guidance.

Good condition but has numerous utensil wear to the front.  Even with this use, a rare find from this master artist.
