Antique Early Creamware Vegetable Server
BOTANICAL
Wedgwood Staffordshire England c. 1878

This is a stunning and hard to find creamware transfer printed dinner ware server. It is very finely molded, measuring 10 inches long x 7 1/2 inches wide x 1 1/2” tall. It is transfer printed in a rich chocolate brown or sepia, abundantly decorated with an exotic wild rose, stephanotis and a daisy type flower. The rims are decorated with a simple ring of interconnected circles.  The outside of the rim has flowers as well.  A fantastic example of Aesthetic movement Victorian love of naturalistic beauty.
The piece is in great condition, never used condition.  Natural stilt mark to the outer rim.  The underside of bears the impressed mark of Wedgwood.  This piece is perfect addition to any collection of Wedgwood creamware or Staffordshire transferware with botanical imagery.
