These early Victorian small 6 3/4 " plates are transfer printed in dark blue against a creamy blue slip background.  Designed/attributed to Pierre Mallet, these delightful plates combine the new Aesthetic and Japanese influences of the 19th Century, with a freer more naturalistic design and the use of asymmetry, along with the English love of nature.  

Each plate has a different transferred image.

Great Condition. Rare to find original set.  The correct color of the blue is the photo taken of the set on the floor.
