This is a colorful hand painted transferware plate, c. 1900.
Rabbitware is a combination of transfer printing and stick sponge or spatterware. The plate measures 9 1/4 inches in diameter and transfer printed in rare brown and painted with enamels in red, blue, yellow, brown and green. Four rectangled cartouches filled with Picnic ~ Reading ~ Sharing Lettuce ~ Sharing Cabbages
Never Used. The piece is in outstanding condition. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs.
