LARGE AESTHETIC BROWN TRANSFERWARE POLYCHROME SERVING BOWL and STERLING SILVER SERVING TONGS
SEAWEED PATTERN
Josiah Wedgwood and Sons
Staffordshire England 1883
This very large Victorian 10 1/8 " wide x 4 3/4 " tall raised serving bowl is transfer printed in brown with incredible polychrome coral reef coloration. Silver plated top band with incised monogram:
January 5, 1869 T.W.S.& L.G.B. January 5, 1894 as a 25th anniversary presentation bowl.
English Sterling Silver serving pieces with lobster claw handles.
The pattern features a variety of large ocean seaweed drifting around the inside and outside of this bowl. Three large bright red Lobsters hold the bowl up as they seem to climb up the rim. One of the very best patterns.
Great condition.
