VERY EARLY CREAMWARE PINK LUSTRE CHILDS MUG

FOR MY FAVORITE

Staffordshire England  ~  c. 1820

This desirable mug from the Staffordshire region of England stands a mere 2 1/4 " tall x 2 3/8 " wide excluding the applied acanthus leaf terminal handle.

A wonderful creamware mug with a pink band along the rim.  The inscription reads FOR MY FAVORITE.  

Creamware mugs with wonderful polychrome hand painting are hard to find especially with such a fabulous subject as this.

A rare find.  Light weight and beautifully potted in great condition.  A few very tiny glaze chips along the rim.
