OUTSTANDING EARLY BLACK TRANSFERWARE PLATE
CLYDE SCENERY PATTERN
Job and John Jackson Potteries
Staffordshire England ~ 1831 - 1835
This spectacular 10 1/2 " wide plate is beautifully transfer printed in black against a white background. The rim has a wonderful scalloped edge with with pendant sprays of flowers separating elaborate scenic boat reserves.
The plate is in great condition, with two tiny bits of glaze flaking along the outer rim. An incomparable piece that doesn't come on the market very often.
