This large Victorian aesthetic 16 5/8 " long x 13 1/8 " wide platter is transfer printed in rich blue.  Shape is oval and printed on the vertical.  We have never seen another made in this form, color and shape.  Excellent.

The pattern features a Japanesque water scene with water lilies and cattails, outrageous bamboo and birds, and butterflies flitting throughout the transfer.  A rare bird sits among the water flowers.  Geometric shapes mixed with exotic flowers complete the wonderful plate.

Condition is great.  Clean and bright and shiny.  No chips, no cracks, no hairlines, no utensil wear and no repairs.
